RFK Memorial Stadium

RFK Memorial Stadium

Converting the former home of the Washington Redskins to a temporary home for the Washington Nationals was an exciting and extremely challenging project for VarcoMac. Completed in the spring of 2005, this fast-track project included major improvements to the stadium's broadcast systems, press box, clubhouse, locker rooms, and media and public areas.

VarcoMac also provided power for 25 new portable concession stands, added emergency egress lighting for the entire facility, and added an emergency generator to provide backup power for the three new light towers. Seven day work weeks were utilized to keep the project from falling behind the three month schedule.

Project Cost: $2,800,000
Location: Washington, D.C.
Client: Turner Construction Co.
